Yoga Nidra – Guided Meditation
The literal translation of Yoga Nidra is “Yogic Sleep” and is known as a sleep-based meditation practice. Yogic sleep is very different than our traditional idea of sleep. This type of sleep is hovering right above the sleep state to where the mind drifts off and the body falls asleep. It is during this deep state that intentions are placed that can go into our subconscious mind and be actualized and fulfilled with ease and grace without any rebuttal from the mind.
